This position is in the Nutrition and Food Service at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center at the Providence VA Medical Center. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week; varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
What You'll Do
- →This position involves a multigrade career ladder.
- →The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-5.
- →At the GS-3 and GS-4 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence.
- →You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-5.
- →Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher work level, and availability of funds.
- →This position is in the Nutrition and Food Service at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
- →The Health Technician (Dietetic) provides administrative and customer service support for the hospital food service program.
- →Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.

- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
