About the Role

OIG is organized into six operational units: the Immediate Office of the Inspector General, Office of the Counselor, Office of Audits and Evaluations, Office of Healthcare Inspections, Office of Investigations, and Office of Management and Administration. In addition to the Washington, DC, headquarters, OIG has offices located in more than 60 locations throughout the country.

What You'll Do

  • Current VA OIG employees will remain in current duty location.
  • Other locations TBD based on space availability at the time of close.
  • As a Health Systems Specialist, you will: Assist the project leader in a broad range of Quality Management (QM) and health care program inspections and evaluations.
  • Identify existing information sources from which to obtain a sufficient data base to facilitate the team's understanding of the entity to be inspected or evaluated and to identify possible problem areas that require further development.

  • The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
  • One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
