The VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS) includes three medical centers in Omaha, Lincoln, and Grand Island, along with six community based outpatient clinics located in North Platte, Norfolk, Sarpy County, Holdrege, Shenandoah, and Papillion. Together, these facilities operate as an integrated health care system that provides tertiary medical, surgical, psychiatric, rehabilitation, and related clinical services to Veterans across Nebraska and western Iowa.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Coordinates administrative activities, information flow, and Chief of Staff (COS) assigned actions across clinical service lines within the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS).
- →Reviews operational information provided by service leaders for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with COS requirements.
- →Prepares draft procedures, templates, and SOPs.
- →Tracks the completion of action plans and presents updates during weekly service chief meetings.
- →Coordinates COS level meetings by preparing agendas, drafting minutes, tracking follow up actions, and communicating expectations to participants.
- →Provides administrative consultation to service administrative officers (AOs).
- →Participates in facility or stakeholder meetings at the direction of the Chief of Staff and completes administrative follow up actions arising from those meetings.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
