About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Director for Mental Health, Department of MH Consultation and Education in Bethesda, Maryland. Parking at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center is limited, the use of commuting alternatives is recommended. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Coordinate and consult with leadership on program administrative matters.
- →Monitor and assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
- →Identify problems with health care processes and recommend alternatives to improve processes, identifying and reporting any quality improvement issues.
- →Monitor the Military Healthcare System (MHS) for trends, analysis, and comparisons, gather and interpret data, making recommendations to leadership on findings that may affect productivity, access and quality of service.
- →Accumulate, develop, maintain, interpret, and analyze a variety of statistical and demographic data including charts, graphs, and/or reports data (e.g., operative case log reports, ambulatory data system reports, customer survey studies, etc.).
- →Develop, accumulate, and analyze a variety of statistical data reflecting effectiveness and efficiency, narrative explanations for variations indicated.
- →Establish and maintain manpower database information for the Department including numbers of direct and indirect personnel, organizational locations, and availability for accomplishment of programmed workload.
