About the Position: Serves as Health Systems Specialist (Credentials) at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia who provides support to management by analyzing, evaluating, advising and coordinating all credentials activities. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Ensure accuracy and completeness of all data entries and enter information for all privileged providers into the automated credentials database.
- →Review all incoming provider credentials files.
- →Conduct primary source verification of the authenticity of the documents in the application package.
- →Contact current and previous employers to obtain completion of Clinical Reference Questionnaires to assess provider competency.
- →Work with providers, Department Heads, and Division officers to assist with the online privileging application process.
- →Utilize a computer to develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, ad hoc reports, documents, graphs and briefing slides.
- →Assist in the development of local organization regulations, policies, briefs, circulars and pamphlets.
