About the Role
About the Position: The incumbent of this position will serve as a Health System Specialist (Credentialing & Privileging) GS-0671-11/12 for Defense Health Agency Headquarters located in San Antonio, TX. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a Defense Health Agency (DHA) C and P program advisor to all Department of Defense (DoD) personnel and interacts with the Army, Navy, Air Force, and other staff.
- →Support oversight of Military Healthcare System (MHS) credentialing and privileging programs and operations to include central DHA integration of all such activities.
- →Ensure policies, procedures, and processes are established and maintained to continue accreditation with civilian accrediting agencies.
- →Provide consultative services to all MHS treatment facilities and other organizational components in fulfilling facility regulatory, accreditation, and organizational program requirements.
- →Communicate clearly both orally and in writing with a wide variety of audiences on policy, development and reporting of metrics, procedural, and planning parameters as they relate to credentialing and privileging.
- →Monitor, analyze, and prepare leadership briefing slides and reports concerning credentialing and privileging metrics.
- →Responsible for supporting MHS education and ongoing training related to assigned credentialing and privileging program management.
