About the Role

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! What You'll Do

  • Operates large, complex riding lawn mowers and/or specially designed with attached equipment such as gang mowers, aerators, plows, chippers, sprayers, disks, post hole diggers, front-end loading devices, movable dozer blades, and backhoes.
  • Uses heavy power mowers, powered tools, adjusts blades, and cleans and oils mowers; cuts trees, using ax or chain saw.
  • Frequently operates attached equipment from the seat of the tractor using hydraulic or mechanical controls.
  • Equipment characteristics include single-function performance and components that are independently controlled with mechanical devices.
  • May operate mechanical and hydraulic connections between the towed or attached equipment and makes numerous equipment adjustments.
  • Performs operator maintenance on equipment.
  • Works on level or rolling terrain in such areas as open fields, golf courses, lawns, and along roadways.
  • Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.
  • Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
  • Takes action to solve problems quickly.
  • Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
  • Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures.
  • Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
