This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Works under the general supervision of the Chief, Engineering Division, Directorate of Public Works, who assigns projects in terms of goals or results expected.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for Public Works related design, construction, maintenance, and repair projects, under the delegated authority from the Contracting Officer.
- →Serves as an engineering authority responsible for the review and approval of contract modifications.
- →Reviews designs by others for technical accuracy and constructability, and provides recommended changes.
- →Identifies the need for future construction projects and integrates them into the Annual Construction project lists.
- →Performs supervisory personnel management functions to include evaluating performance of subordinates, interviewing applicants, and making selections for vacancies.
- →Performs supervisory personnel management functions to include recommending incentive awards, disciplinary action, training of subordinates, and approving leave.
- →Directs and coordinates personnel engaged in Quality Assurance (QA) of maintenance, repair, and construction projects.
