About the Role

You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT - CODE 200 of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

What You'll Do

  • You will be responsible for the Engineering Division technical field engineering support for project waterfront availabilities.
  • You will review and monitor the progress of work to ensure ability, understanding, and all necessary training are maintained.
  • You will prepare and delegate Engineering Division non-nuclear and nuclear interface work.
  • You will determine resource requirements to meet existing and projected workload.
  • You will identify nonconformance to existing conditions and/or specifications and initiate wavers when required to support nuclear key events You will attend conferences as a representative for the Engineering and Planning Department, make decisions on technical matters, resourcing, workload scheduling and execution goals.
  • You will provide general guidance and direction of subordinate personnel within project teams.

Requirements

  • Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
  • Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
  • OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

  • OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
  • Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
