You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. What You'll Do
- →You will manage non-nuclear surface ship and submarine condition and references change management program to ensure accurate documentation and certification of surface ship and submarine system conditions.
- →You will establish policies and processes to ensure accurate communication of shipalt guidance information directly to PHNSY and IMP AUKUS.
- →You will perform reviews and validations of various technical work documents to report discrepancies found in surface ship and submarine system logistics and coordinate adjudication actions.
- →You will support the command in the event of a major incident on an assigned ship and help coordinate the necessary PHNSY and IMP AUKUS technical response.
- →You will serve as POC for critiques and trouble reports.
- →You will serve as the root cause analysis expert, critique chair and member of the shipyard critique help team.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
- ✓Transcripts are required to verify education.
