This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & MRTFB in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as the Program Manager of the Military Construction (MILCON) and Operation and Maintenance, Army Restoration and Modernization (OMA RM) programs for the Watervliet Arsenal (WVA), as developed by the Planning and Real Property Branch.
- →This position supports Project Managers to resolve project execution challenges at the lowest feasible level and elevates issues when necessary.
- →Collates project statuses program-wide and identifying potential areas for conflict or risk with program execution.
- →Assesses and reports resourcing needs for program execution to the Planning and Real Property Branch Chief and makes recommendations to the allocation of staff to projects within these programs.
- →Coordinates between Planning and Real Property, Facilities Engineering, Facilities Maintenance, and Manufacturing to identify and highlight conflict areas between work plans and facilitate deconfliction.
- →Creates and maintains program tracking documents including the Program Execution Tracker and the Project Waterfall Chart.
- →Participates in best value tradeoff contract selection boards related to the assigned programs.
