What You'll Do
- →You will act as principal contributors on team-based projects; organize and provide technical oversight and direction for projects; and prepare, present, and evaluate plans, designs, reports, and correspondence.
- →You will define project or assignment scope, requirements, and deliverables, develop, modify, or provide input to project plans, and implement project plans to meet objectives.
- →You will review contractor provided management indicators and metrics as well as those a government's project office generates, maintain contract documentation records, track funds, receive reports, correspondence, and publications.
- →You will process invoices and deliverables, sign, verify, and file invoices, share documentation with Contracting, verify worked hours before payment, and receive contract deliverables.
- →You will research, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and carry out project assignments; determine relevancy and use of factual, economic and financial, engineering, architectural, and/or scientific information.
- →You will prepare, provide, and evaluate conventional plans, designs, design specifications, and related documentation; perform and interpret calculations, analyses, and computations for engineering or scientific projects and assignments.
- →You will identify project parameters, develop design specifications to complete work; prepare preliminary designs; make financial estimates on costs; and conduct life-cycle analysis of existing structures.
- →You will recommend alternatives to maintain, rehabilitate, or replace equipment and structures.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
