About the Role

YOU WILL SERVE AS THE PMA-231 E-2D BLOCK II ASSISTANT PROGRAM MANAGER FOR SYSTEMS ENGINEERING (APMSE). LEAD THE TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE HIGH-PROFILE ACAT I BLOCK II PROGRAM IN THE SYSTEMS ACQUISITION GROUP, SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, AIR PLATFORM SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DIVISION, PEO(T) PROGRAM BRANCH OF NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. .

What You'll Do

  • You will serve as a leader in the system simulation, requirement, and performance specification assessment of technical risk, and analysis of test and evaluation results.
  • You will advise on, administer, or perform professional, scientific, or technical work concerned with engineering or architectural projects, facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, material or methods.
  • You will be responsible for program development and/or oversight of a major NAVAIR Component/Command level program (or programs) relating to research, development, testing, evaluation, innovation, and reengineering.
  • You will develop and review program technical and mission documentation providing authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues and ensuring engineering requirements are met.
  • You will develop project planning objectives for engineering development of current and long-range programs.
  • You will Integrate cost estimates with program plans (schedules, development requirements), test and evaluation requirements, projected problems, etc.,) into a total acquisition POM and budget.

Requirements

  • Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
  • Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
  • OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

  • OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
  • Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
