You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the AIR PLATFORM SYSTEMS ENGINEERING PEO(A) PROGRAM BRANCH of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This position will be the Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) for the H-53E which includes the Navy MH-53E and the Marine Corps CH-53E for the In-Service Level I IPT. The primary responsibilities are management and oversight of all engineering for the aircraft and weapons systems.
What You'll Do
- →You will facilitate engineering discussions, and identify technical solutions by applying engineering theories, concepts, principles and processes.
- →You will coordinate problem-solving efforts as designated, and identify and de-conflict competing objectives, variables, and constraints.
- →You will document solutions in relation to cost, schedule and technical (performance) constraints.
- →You will develop and review various technical documentation including Statement of Work (SOW), Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs), presentation materials, formal memos, informal memos, and general correspondence.
- →You will communicate with stakeholders across the industry and other Program Offices, as required.
- →You will coordinate and document Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events.
- →You will participate in Program Management Reviews (PMRs), technical reviews, and technical interchange/coordination meetings.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
