You will serve as a General Engineer in the Naval Test Wing Atlantic Integrated Flight Test & Evaluation Department of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF. If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is equivalent to GS-14, Step 10: $143-913 - $187,093
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the Lead Test Engineer for the F-35, Integrated Test Force (ITF), comprised of test team members represented by various NAVAIRSYSCOM disciplines and airframe/engine/weapons systems contractors.
- →You will be responsible for completion of all integrated testing through providing planning, design, execution, data reduction, analysis, and reporting of integrated testing as well as establishing and tracking test requirements.
- →You will participate in engineering technical reviews and program cost reviews, assist in the maintenance of the Program integrated master schedule, maintain and report metrics, and be responsible for integrating test issues and risk management.
- →You will act as the principle test engineering point of contact for all ITF matters.
- →You will provide tasking, establish team assignment agreements, provide long range workload planning inputs to branches and divisions and provide input to performance appraisals, independent development plans, and training requests.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
