You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the Strategic Technologies Branch (BL33500) of the Digital Engineering Division, Mission Operations and Integration Dept of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
What You'll Do
- →You will work with other leaders throughout government and industry to advance technology by the application of new theories, techniques, and processes to current and evolving Navy problems.
- →You will provide technical advice, strategy, information, and counsel on cognizant efforts involving autonomy and robotics as applied to SE and ALRE mission sets.
- →You will lead basic and applied research to better facilitate the use of said technology to address capability gaps and opportunities across the ALRE and SE mission set.
- →You will report findings and status in presentations, reports, papers, and technical meetings.
- →Works with extensive network and applies background and knowledge of autonomy to provide applicable research products to the DoW.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
