About the Role
This position is located at the West Point MWR Arts & Crafts Center. NOTE: The official title for this position is Engraving Machine Operator NA-06. The "working title" is Frame and Design Specialist NA-06. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
What You'll Do
- →Sets up and operates engraving machines to engrave a variety of items.
- →Makes changes in machine setup, such as readjusting for different sizes of work piece or changes in shape.
- →Uses specialized, computer based equipment for engraving and framing to create custom projects for patrons with a variety of materials to include paper mats, metal , glass, wood, etc.
- →Uses other specialized equipment such as beveling machine, laser engraver, and COREL DRAW software, heat presses, copy machines and plastic/metal shears.
- →Provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery.
- →Provides one on one customer consultations.
- →Provides safety instruction and demonstrates safe use of equipment.
- →Participates in special events to market the engraving/framing services.
- →Assists with placing orders with vendors for materials and supplies.
- →Assists in the collection of fees, bank deposits, and daily activity report submissions.
