About the Role
Located in the Bureau of Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs, under the Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Finance and Development, Office of Investment Affairs (EEB/IFD/OIA). Serves as a senior advisor to EEB/IFD/OIA. Develops and implements strategic efforts, programs, and policies to advance the Department's investment objectives outlined in the Joint Strategic Plan.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a recognized expert throughout the Department and foreign affairs community in investment security, including both inbound investment screening and outbound investment security program, and other aspects of international investment policy.
- →Analyzes cutting edge technology including AI, Quantum, and semiconductor design and production and recommends policies to maintain U.S. technology leadership.
- →Formulates, guides, and conducts investment security outreach strategies and programs.
- →Provides leadership and support to OIA and Department staff on CFIUS case reviews to advance U.S. investment and security strategic objectives.
