You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER in the Navy Fire and Emergency Services, Regional Fire Directorate of NAVWPNSTA.
What You'll Do
- →You will perform emergency protocols and procedures by providing basic life support (BLS) established by the system medical director.
- →You will perform firefighting duties for a variety of facilities and perform pre-fire planning by physically going through structures to become familiar with the layout, fire hazards, and location of fixed fire protection systems.
- →You will drive and operate firefighting vehicles, such as, but not limited to: pumpers, aerial ladder trucks, and Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) Vehicles.
- →You will inspect, test, and maintain vehicles and equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations.
- →You will operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining effective awareness of conditions for possible repositioning of vehicles and/or warning other firefighters of hazards.
- →You will operate a wide array of firefighting equipment to suppress fires.
