What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER (BLS/HAZMAT TECHNICIAN) in the FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES of COMMANDER, NAVY INSTALLATIONS COMMAND (N30).
- →You will serve as a Firefighter assigned to a crew engaged in the full range of firefighting and rescue operations.
- →You will provide basic emergency medical care and transportation.
- →You will assist in reducing and/or eliminating potential fire hazards to protect persons, property, or the environment following Navy established procedures and protocols.
Requirements
- ✓In lieu of specialized experience you may qualify at the GS-05 level with the following education substitute: Successful completion of a 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university in Fire Training, Fire Science, or another related field of study leading to a bachelor's degree; OR Have a combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience.
- ✓The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
- ✓A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
