About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is included under the provisions of Special Retirement Coverage (SRC) and may have both a maximum entry age and a mandatory retirement date. What You'll Do
- →Serves as fully trained member of a firefighting crew engaged in the protection of life and property where large quantities of fuel products are stored.
- →Serves as a member of a fully trained structural firefighting crew engaged in the protection of life and property will respond to alarms and combat fires requiring the full performance of firefighting tasks.
- →Serves as a fully trained member of a crash rescue crew engaged in the protection of life and property from crashed and burning aircraft.
- →Administers emergency care and treatment for illnesses and injuries of occupational and non-occupational origin for soldiers, dependents, government employees and visitors.
- →Performs alarm room watch on a rotating basis, which includes monitoring fire and rescue radios, automatic alarms, emergency and administrative phone lines and ADP equipment.
