This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. What You'll Do
- →Provide fire protection for a variety of structures and related areas.
- →Position vehicle considering factors such as wind direction, sources of water, hazards from falling structures, location of armaments on aircraft, etc.
- →Operate pumps, foam generators, boom and ground sweep nozzles, and other similar equipment.
- →Operate hose lines, ladders, hydrants in the control and extinguishing of fires.
- →Perform tests, minor maintenance, and repairs to ensure operational condition of equipment.
- →Conduct rescue operations.
- →Respond to hazardous chemical spills and assist in a full range of containment and runoff control duties.
