This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a Technical Specialist and Fire Protection Engineer, performing design, analysis, and oversight services for fire protection and life safety systems.
What You'll Do
- →As a Technical Specialist and Fire Protection Engineer, you will: Develop fire protection design criteria for the Omaha District to supplement Army-wide criteria.
- →Direct the design effort of multiple disciplines including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineers for various facets of Fire Protection Design.
- →Define the scope of fire protection requirements based on engineering knowledge, judgment, and functional requirements.
- →Direct life-cycle cost analysis with the objective of evaluation and ranking design alternative with regard to overall economy.
- →Represent Omaha District for the purpose of coordinating and furnishing engineering advise on unique and complex fire protection design problems.
