About the Position: This position supports the mission of the J-8, Financial Operations Directorate and is located in Falls Church, Virginia and/or San Antonio, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Leave accrual negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to the Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Review, analyze, and interpret financial management policy and provides guidance to staff elements, to include revising and publishing Financial Management directives and procedures.
- →Identify and report trends in the accounting system.
- →Assist in creating and conducting training for the Financial Operations Directorate.
- →Investigate a variety of technical finance and accounting problems/situations with analytical responsibility for recommending alternative actions, corrections, or solutions.
- →Conduct programmatic studies to ensure procedural compliance with resource management principles.
- →Interpret regulations and directives promulgated by higher authority and use this information to establish, prepare, and disseminate policy and guidance to customers.
