About the Position: This position supports the mission of the J-8, Financial Operations Directorate and is located in Falls Church, Virginia. - Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. - Leave accrual negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to the Federal service. What You'll Do
- →Serve as Section Chief for Defense Travel System Operations within the Accounting Operations Branch.
- →Ensure compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR), and DHA travel policy while supporting operational requirements such as medical staffing, contingency travel, and workforce mobility.
- →Provide authoritative guidance and oversight of enterprise travel and financial operations.
- →Develop and implement DHA procedures to analyze, monitor, and mitigate critical transactions, validate restricted-role authorizations, and ensure sound business and resource management practices.
- →Present recommendations, operational analyses, and policy proposals to senior leadership Coordinate enterprise travel operations, system integration, and modernization efforts.
- →Provide direct supervision to civilian personnel.
