About the Position: Serves as a senior Financial Analyst for US Africa Command (AFRICOM) in the Comptroller Division. Acts as a subject-matter expert overseeing internal and external audits, financial policy development, and financial reconciliations. Partners with branch chiefs and program managers to deliver continuous financial analysis and track command-wide performance metrics.
What You'll Do
- →Research and reconcile transactions to achieve proper recording, payment, and liquidation of financial transactions.
- →Initiate and coordinate financial and operational audits to address system integrity and verify compliance with standard principles and regulatory requirements.
- →Advise management officials on financial problems, operational trends, and unfavorable deviations to recommend effective corrective actions.
- →Analyze and integrate higher headquarters guidance, policy statements, and pertinent financial regulations to design and develop command-level financial and accounting policies.
