About the Role
The Staff Dentist serves as a practicing dental provider that performs a full range of professional dental procedures in connection with the treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative, or preventive measures. This Position is a FEE BASIS - salary is paid by CPT codes performed per shift
What You'll Do
- →** FEE BASIS** The staff general dentist shall be proficient in all aspects of general dentistry including the ability to perform selected specialty services.
- →He/she is fully mentally and physically capable of performing these essential functions of a general dentist without impairment.
- →Specifically, the provider should possess the procedural expertise and competency to perform the following: Make clinical and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions.
- →Administer local anesthesia.
- →Perform routine and complex restoration of teeth.
- →Perform simple and complex extractions of teeth.
- →Perform alveoloplasty and other routine surgical procedures.
- →Perform prosthetic dentistry to include immediate dentures, full dentures, partial dentures, crowns, fixed bridge work, and dental implant restoration.
- →Perform routine endodontic procedures on single and multi-canal teeth.
- →Perform routine and surgical periodontal procedures.
- →Provide direct patient care in a hospital or outpatient setting to adults with or without acute and chronic medical conditions and serves as a consultant to other healthcare providers.
- →Perform duties within CPRS - completing dental notes within the Electronic Health Care Record, and assisting with processing VA Community Care referrals.
- →Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 745 am to 430pm Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position Financial Disclosure Report: Not Required Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting Salary: PER CPT code performed

- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
- ✓You may be required to serve a probationary period.
