This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Operations Division, Office of Training. The Recent Graduates Program offers dynamic, 1 to 2-year opportunities that give early career talent the chance to support key facility operations functions through focused administrative and technical work. Selectees will learn and contribute to essential facility operations functions, ensure process accuracy, and apply their organizational skills in a mission-driven environment.
What You'll Do
- →The Pathways Recent Graduates Program is designed to provide graduates the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the field of Facilities Operations through a robust training program.
- →The program will provide entry-level career development training for participants to learn and apply facilities operations and management principles.
- →Helps recommend solutions and supports project planning efforts.
- →Participates in meetings related to construction, renovation and repair projects.
- →Reviews plans and provides input on how projects may affect building systems and operations.
- →Reviews facility systems and helps plan maintenance operations.
- →Consider building conditions and help decide between routine maintenance and larger repairs.
- →Evaluates contractor performance and helps ensure works meet contract requirements and operational needs.
- →Serves as point of contact for field funding transfers for ammunition, training, and personal protective equipment.
- →Researches and prepares cost estimates for materials and labor, develops budget justifications, and managing project resources.
- →Monitors and maintains complex systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, energy management (EMS), fire alarms and advanced environmental systems.
- →Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and environmental standards.
Requirements

- ✓To be eligible for an appointment, you must meet requirement A or B.
- ✓Completed all requirements for a diploma, associate, bachelor, master, professional, doctorate, vocational, or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution or career or technical education program (including registered Apprenticeship Programs, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, Job Corps, Climate Corps) within the previous two years; OR B.
- ✓You must submit an academic transcript from your academic institution showing the date that you most recently completed the academic requirements described above.
- ✓Pass/Fail Courses: If more than 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) were taken on a pass/fail basis, your claim of superior academic achievement must be based upon class standing or membership in an honor society.
- ✓Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the education requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
