You will serve as an Environmental Engineer in the Environment Division of the Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment Office (OSHE) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
What You'll Do
- →You will advise management on how to include current and upcoming environmental requirements in their processes and procedures.
- →You will assess, inspect, monitor, and audit shipyard facilities and operations to ensure they comply with Federal, State, Navy, and local environmental protection rules.
- →You will review technical work documents and process instructions to ensure compliance with environmental policies and guidance.
- →You will represent the command at meetings, both internally and externally.
- →You will serve as the Program Manager for environmental subject matter areas.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
