This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813.
What You'll Do
- →Monitors the status of large-scale facility and infrastructure projects to determine the program of projects is on track with planned schedules and compliant with organizational standards, requirements, and applicable regulations.
- →Evaluates work requests for completeness of information, technical complexity, and urgency before processing them into project requests.
- →Coordinates with multiple divisions to ensure project plans and current progress are aligned with Master Plan activities.
- →Operates personal computer equipment in creating and maintaining tracking documents/tools for facility project status and develops and maintains division process documents.
- →Conducts on-site technical-oriented inspections of ongoing facility projects to validate status reported by contractors and serves as a Contract Officer Representative (COR).
- →Prepares documentation to verify contractual progress, identify deficiencies, and provide information to the Contracting Officer for corrective action.
- →Reviews invoices for accuracy to prepare documents for payment.
- →Performs inspections to determine inadequate building systems or utility systems that require modifications or repairs to be in compliance with applicable codes.
