This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoW Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position serves as Engineering Equipment Operator for DPTMS at Range Control.
What You'll Do
- →Perform maintenance and repair on a variety of equipment and vehicles used at the range.
- →Preheats metals prior to cutting or welding to prevent uneven breakage.
- →Assist fellow coworkers with troubleshooting and repairing equipment used on the firing range.
- →Operate a variety of motorized vehicles such as a forklift or tractor.
- →Ability to tow vehicles that have become inoperable at duty location.
- →Utilize laws and regulations to operate a variety of motorized vehicles.
