You will serve as an ENGINEER in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER Port Hueneme.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a technical leader and Facilities Project Manager responsible for the sustainment, restoration. and modernization ( SRM ) of the command's infrastructure.
- →You will drive the execution of comprehensive facility management initiatives, including the five-year strategic plan, long-range MINCON/MILCON planning, and strategic workplace optimization.
- →You will manage the entire project lifecycle for diverse infrastructure upgrades from initial conception, budgeting, and scheduling through to final execution and formal acceptance.
- →You will develop detailed Statements of Work, Independent Government Cost Estimates, and Plans of Action and Milestones.
- →You will conduct engineering studies, preparing site approval packages, and developing acquisition packages for Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
- →You will oversee all contract negotiations, administration, modifications, claims, and closeout compliance to secure and deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
