You will serve as an Engineer in the Combat Systems Installations Division, Modernization & Installation Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide interdisciplinary systems engineering leadership for all phases of LCS Mission Module and unmanned systems sustainment and operations.
- →You will provide oversight of tasking for government and contractor personnel, setting mission priorities, problem resolution, and readiness of embarked and ashore equipment.
- →You will apply theories, principles, practical concepts, and engineering processes related to solving complex problems and optimizing mission readiness.
- →You will participate in multiple operational and support meetings/forums for the coordination of events, including maintenance, embarkation, logistics, quality assurance and engineering You will manage and lead Mission Module Readiness Center work involving operation, maintenance, integration, testing, and sustainment of Mission Module and Unmanned systems across multiple disciplines.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
