You will serve as an ENGINEER (Unmanned and Autonomous Systems Technologist) in the Warfighter Defense Systems Integration Department (W), EOD Systems Division (W3), Unmanned Systems Branch (W33) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the Senior Unmanned and Autonomous Systems Technologist and lead technical subject matter expert for the EOD Technology Center's (EODTECHCEN) Unmanned Systems Branch.
- →You will support a multidisciplinary staff and provides expert technical recommendations on a diverse portfolio of Joint Service EOD Unmanned Systems (UxS) programs.
- →You will blend direct project execution with strategic oversight, including leading research and development tasking while ensuring all branch efforts meet rigorous technical standards.
- →You will drive the strategic growth of the branch's portfolio by identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
- →You will foster partnerships with other Government agencies, industry partners, and academia representing the Unmanned Systems Branch's capabilities through reports, briefings, and participation in various technical working groups and symposia.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
