You will serve as a Engineer in the WEAPONS ANALYSIS DIVISION of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV. The ND-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-12/13.
What You'll Do
- →You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Aegis Systems and Analysis and facilitates mentoring across Aegis warfare areas.
- →You will perform scenario reconstruction, data analysis, performance assessment, issue identification/documentation across Aegis warfare areas.
- →You will organize a collaborative analysis effort across Aegis warfare areas as well as with analysts from other elements and other organizations to document system anomalies.
- →You will develop requirements for and acts as a tester for AWS analysis tools and database for AEGIS such as PHOENIX, PHEONIX OA, PCTOOLBOX, PET, DART, OUTLINE, ADEPT, EPIC and additional software tools as needed.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
