About the Role
This position is located in the Electronics Shop of the Facilities Maintenance Service (FMS) at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. The purpose of the Electronics Technician is to provide basic to complex analysis, maintenance, support and repair of electronic low voltage systems throughout the Medical Center (ie: fire alarms, security systems, badge readers, overhead paging systems, pneumatic tube systems (p tube systems), surveillance cameras, etc.).
What You'll Do
- →Designs and implements modifications to allow for proper integration of various systems to interrelate with one another such as allowing the Patient Environmental Control systems to integrate into existing or new Nurse Call systems or assure that physical security equipment is tied in with fire safety equipment; Performing related duties as required.
- →Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
