About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain DoD Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as an Electronics Technician specializing in electronic and electrical systems and components at a large area office with support also provided to other field sites throughout the Detroit District.
What You'll Do
- →Assisting with installing, repairing, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and overhauling, of a variety of complex electronic equipment.
- →Utilizes data systems consisting of navigation locks, dams, and hydroelectric power plant operating equipment, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems and components.
- →Assists with conducting inspections and evaluations as required in order to ascertain individual organizations’ compliance with the applicable DOD, DA, local command policy and regulations.
- →Determine methods and techniques required to accomplish tasks and solve simple electronic circuitry problems.
- →Improvise approved changes in techniques and procedures to reach specified parameters when aging of components or modification have changed operating conditions.
- →Provide input regarding equipment selection, installation, scheduling, testing, and modifications to insure compatibility with existing equipment and systems operational requirements.
