About the Role
You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN LEADER in the ELECTRONICS MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT / N6 of NAVAL COMP TELCOM AREA WESTPAC.
What You'll Do
- →You will maintenance support for communications-electronics (CE) equipment that enables NCTS Guam to accomplish its mission.
- →You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance actions on electronic test equipment, High Frequency (HF), and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) equipment, systems, antennas, antenna structures, and ancillary equipment.
- →You will ensure all Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) are calibrated within specifications and schedules transport to and from the Calibration Lab for TMDE due for calibration.
- →You will maintain and review Work Center's Job Sequential Number (JSN)/ Job Control Number (JCN) log for each corrective maintenance action reported and ensure an OPNAV 4790/2K Maintenance Action Form is completed for deferred maintenance actions.
- →You will maintain a detailed working knowledge of all equipment and system deficiencies within the Work Center.
- →You will prepare reports on equipment activities and coordinate maintenance tasks and equipment downtime with other departments and customers.
- →You will provide subject matter expert advice on identifying systemic problems or equipment malfunctioning trends and recommend modifications which will improve system operation or maintenance.
- →You will provide guidance on operating, tuning, testing, aligning, inspecting, patching, and configuring electronic communications equipment as necessary to meet operational requirements.
- →You will oversee testing and analysis of assigned system performance.

- ✓Mandatory Statements (Conditions of Employment): Security Clearance requirements/Polygraph, Drug Testing, Work Schedule/Travel/Shipboard Medical Screening requirements, Govt Issued Passport/Driver's License, CSWF, Certifications (DAWIA, FM, etc.), Education, Pre-employments/Annual Physicals.
- ✓Obtain the foundational qualification within nine months and the residential qualification within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in DoDM 8140.03 for DCWF role of 451-System Administrator proficiency level Basic.

- ✓Participate in continuous professional development program as described in DoDM 8140.03.
- ✓An annual 20-hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous professional development must be documented and completed in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.
- ✓Continuous professional development begins in the fiscal year after the employee has obtained both foundational and residential qualification requirements.
