About the Role
The position is located in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), at the Tibor Ruben, Long Beach VA Medical Center (VAMC) in the Electronics Mechanic Unit. The primary purpose of this position is to perform the operation, installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of electronic systems consisting of complex electronic systems where circuit theory must be used to understand the operation of individual circuits, and the possible interaction of other circuits.
What You'll Do
- →Interacts with engineers, manufacturers, representatives, engineering personnel and field unit personnel in troubleshooting and developing modifications, substitutions, or corrections to equipment to reduce breakdowns and/or simplify repairs, servicing, or operation.
- →Uses a variety of test equipment and measuring devices such as signal tracer, visual-aural; fired strength meter; capacitor testers; audio-watt meter; decade resistor; oscilloscope; radio-frequency signal generators; sound level meter; digital multimeter, etc.
