About the Role
You will serve as an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC in the ELECTRICAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will Install, modify, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic communication and control circuits integral to shipboard electronic systems.
- →You will use a variety of electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, pulse and signal generators, distortion and waveform analyzers, digital data generators, digital voltmeters, frequency and pulse counters, and special test panels.
- →You will frequently lift and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted, and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance from other workers or with weight handling equipment.
- →You will independently determine the nature and extent of repairs required on equipment that is normally complicated by variable and intricate relationships.
