This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - ACQ/Transport PAE (IE112).
What You'll Do
- →Power Engineering: Resolves power distribution issues across the lifecycle of DoD communications systems.
- →Hardware Expertise: Installs, commissions, and maintains Eaton, Vertiv, high-capacity AC UPS, and DC rectifier systems.
- →Rack Architecture: Designs rack elevations optimizing equipment placement, power density, weight, and cable management.
- →Project Lifecycle: Defines project scopes, drafts work statements, develops cost estimates, and tracks BOMs.
- →Quality and Compliance: Leads power outage planning, reviews technical deliverables, and ensures compliance with DoD specifications.
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-13 grade level.
