The Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanics will diagnose various types of problems, make decisions and troubleshoot on a multitude of systems using various sources. The EMCS operates 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week; so incumbents are subject to call back and may work off shifts and/or weekends. Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
What You'll Do
- →Maintain and repair equipment associated with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, boilers, chillers and energy management.
- →Perform tests using electronic testing devices specifically designed for use with EMCS system components and in-circuit tests by using knowledge of the semiconductor theory.
- →Determine if equipment is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- →Install, recognize the causes of faulty equipment, and make repairs on a variety of HVAC systems.
- →Test and repair electrical equipment issues such as defective wiring, thermostats, light fixtures, burned cut switches, etc.
- →Interpret complex multi-view drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, electrical and electronic block diagrams, schematics, manufacture's specifications, etc.
- →Make decisions on operating capabilities, efficiency, load shedding, and other highly technical decisions.
- →Utilize safety and security practices and procedures following established rules and regulations to maintain a safe, clean and secure work environment.
- →Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
