About the Role
This position is being filled under a stream-lined hiring authority, Title 21 of the United States Code (21 US Code 379d-3a) as amended by the 21st Century Cures Act of 2016, section 3072 and the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, Section 3624. The candidate selected for this position will serve under a career or career-conditional appointment and be paid under the provisions of this authority. This position is being recruited based on the Title 21 Pay Table 2, Band C (equivalent GS-13).
What You'll Do
- →Conducts studies of FDA-regulated products/industries for analyzing impacts.
- →Determines methods for analyzing data.
- →Develops Regulatory Impact Analyses and other assessments to inform FDA policies.
- →Provides economic and public health consultation to FDA leadership and decision makers.
- →Determines data requirements and devises methods for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data; reviews scientific and economic literature for methods and content relevant to the Agency's mission and public health goals.
- →Develops flexible policy options to address the concerns of those most affected by the Agency's regulations and policies, drawing on program and policy analyses across regulatory and public health dimensions.
- →Conducts Regulatory Impact Analyses using Cost-Benefit analysis tools and approaches to inform FDA rulemaking and regulatory actions.
