About the Role
The Bureau of Labor Statistics measures labor market activity, working conditions, price changes, and productivity in the U.S. economy to support public and private decision making. The position is located in the Office of Productivity and Technology, Division of Industry Productivity Studies. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for the technical planning and execution of a portion of the research and analytical program of the Division of Industry Productivity Studies, with respect to industry productivity measurement.
- →Plans and conducts research, interpreting concepts and definitions, developing productivity and cost measures for industries in various sectors of the economy; plans and prepares studies of productivity and cost measures for industries as assigned.
- →Develops weighting systems for the combining of products and price indexes for producing output series, aggregating capital inputs, and intermediate purchase inputs.
- →Participates with senior staff in the formulation of the research program for the Division.
