About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services CMCS, Division of System Reform Demonstrations (DSRD). As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist (Division Deputy Director), GS-0107-14, you will supervise staff and direct the development, management, and review of Medicaid and CHIP Section 1115(a) demonstrations focused on innovation in service delivery and financing.
What You'll Do
- →Perform the full range of supervisory duties.
- →Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short- and long- term priorities, and preparing schedules for work completion.
- →Direct and manage the development, submission, and review of Medicaid and CHIP section 1115(a) demonstrations related to innovation in service delivery and financing.
- →Direct the planning, execution, and management of projects pertaining to Medicaid section 1115(a) issues and oversees projects and provides staff-level leadership to project teams.
- →Serve as technical authority for analysts and project officers on section 1115(a) demonstrations, provider reimbursement methodologies, and provider or state incentive programs.
- →Direct the preparation of a variety of technical and non-technical written products, including briefing documents, talking points, special terms and conditions, reports, and issue papers.
