The Regional Office Director leads a Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Regional Office, overseeing all benefits and services for Veterans, their families, and survivors. They set strategic direction, ensure effective program execution, improve performance, promote accountability and integrity, align operations with national priorities, manage resources wisely, encourage inclusivity, and build partnerships to support the VA's mission.
What You'll Do
- →The Director leads all aspects of the VA Regional Office's operations and programs to ensure timely, accurate, and Veteran-centered delivery of benefits and services.
- →Core responsibilities include: Establishing policies and procedures that align Regional Office operations with VBA and VA requirements.
- →Directing subordinate managers in resolving operational challenges and ensuring effective service delivery.
- →Monitoring program performance and implementing corrective actions to improve outcomes and operational efficiency.
- →Developing organizational plans and determining resource needs to accomplish short- and long-term mission objectives.
- →Allocating and managing resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to support efficient operations.
- →Overseeing human capital programs, including staffing, workforce development, performance management, and grievance resolution.
- →Providing executive oversight of VBA business lines and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery of benefits and services.
- →Representing the Regional Office with Veterans, community stakeholders, government partners, and interagency committees.
- →Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday Compressed/Flexible: Not Available Telework: This position is eligible for situational (ad hoc) telework only.
- →The selectee is required to report to the official duty station each scheduled workday.
- →Telework may be approved only on a case-by-case basis with supervisory approval.
- →Routine or recurring telework is not authorized for this position.
- →Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
Requirements
- ✓As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
