About the Role

The Office of Resolution Management (ORM) supports the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA's) enduring commitment to improve the lives of employees, Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors. ORM has the responsibility for managing the EEO complaints for the entire Department of Veterans Affairs and advises VA senior leaders through enterprise governance boards and processes on a wide range of cultural health issues that cut across VA.

What You'll Do

  • Monitors compliance with settlement agreements, provides subject-matter expertise to ORM district staff, HR, and EEO liaisons, and drafts and analyzes responses to breach allegations.
  • Conducts detailed inquiries, including research and review of EEOC case precedent and guidance, to analyze breach allegations and identify settlement trends for reporting and training recommendations.
  • Maintains awareness of changes in laws, regulations, executive orders, and agency policies impacting the EEO complaint process and provides briefings to agency management on operational implications.
  • Directs review and implementation of compliance decisions related to EEO complaints, ensures proper action is taken, and tracks and records compliance activities in ORM systems.
  • Reviews, negotiates, and authorizes policy issuances, regulations, and procedures from other headquarters components and clears them for release to the field.
  • Develops and issues mandated reports, including congressional reports, aggregates compliance data, identifies trends, and recommends actions and training to address emerging issues.
  • Oversees FOIA request processing and Privacy Act violation responses, ensuring timely and high-quality output, and produces recurring reports on FOIA and Privacy Act functions.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday flexible between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.
