About the Role

This vacancy is for a Director, Office of Antiboycott Compliance in the Bureau of Industry and Security within the Department of Commerce.

What You'll Do

  • As a Director, Office of Antiboycott Compliance, you will perform the following duties: Oversees the conduct of the Office of Antiboycott Compliance that has national or international impacts on the antiboycott compliance program.
  • Ensures that these operations are accomplished in a manner that makes the most effective use of Department resources.
  • Develops ways in which antiboycott operations and research projects can be enhanced and the effectiveness of research and operations staff improved.
  • Makes changes and improvements to research and operations that will facilitate the most efficient and economical operations.
  • Directs the interpretation and development of policies and guidelines, procedures and instructions for use by Office of Antiboycott Compliance.
  • Serves as senior representative for the agency in providing complex responses/ analyses to multiple audiences in Antiboycott policy, regulations, procedures and conveyed issues of concern.
  • Provide guidance to senior level officials on all antiboycott compliance related matters.
  • This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Director, Office of Antiboycott Compliance GS-1801-15, FPL GS-15 positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location or local commuting area with the same qualifications and specialized experience.

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
  • This position requires a TOP SECRET/SCI CLEARANCE: Any required investigations and clearances must be completed before the selectee can be placed in the position.
  • You must successfully pass a background investigation.
  • This may include a credit check, a review of financial issues, as well as certain criminal offenses and illegal use or possession of drugs.
  • A supervisory probationary period may be required.
