Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Air and Marine Operations, Mission Support, Logistics and Maintenance Division located in Washington, D.C.
What You'll Do
- →Join Air and Marine Operations and utilize your expertise providing oversight of the national CBP Aviation Maintenance Program and the National Aviation Safety and Management Contract.
- →This position starts at a salary of $169,279.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $197,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10).
- →Typical responsibilities include: Serving as a strategic partner to the Director, Readiness providing expert advice and counsel on the material readiness and safety of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing tactical aircraft.
- →Exercising broad management supervision, direction, and oversight making major decisions on projects, changes in program emphasis and diversion of resources.
- →Ensuring balanced and pragmatic consideration of multiple complex factors, including safety, the environment, costs, and mission goals.
- →Leading the Aviation Maintenance community and contract personnel by establishes clear and effective policies and management processes and communicating on all policies, practices, standards, and performance measures affecting aircraft availability and maintenance effectiveness.
