What You'll Do
- →Serves as the Director of the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC), providing executive leadership, strategic direction, and scientific oversight for CDC's national programs to prevent injuries and violence.
- →Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based public health strategies addressing injury prevention and control, including adverse childhood experiences, overdose prevention, suicide prevention, and other priority injury and violence prevention initiatives.
- →Directs research, surveillance, program development, and partnerships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, academic, and private-sector organizations to improve health outcomes and advance CDC's public health mission.
- →Provides executive oversight for organizational operations, including strategic planning, workforce and human capital management, budget and resource stewardship, and performance evaluation to achieve CDC and HHS priorities.
